The company TDS SA was founded in November 1981 by Mr Philippe DESTRIJKER and Jean-Claude SCHMIT. They both started the national lorry activity in January 1982, by performing a subcontracted “ distribution ” type of service for the company TNT, and by daily publications-newspapers deliveries for the AMP (Press agencies).

The company essentially growed quarter after quarter, thanks to the trust those two initial customers showed in giving TDS even more lines of activity to perform. This enabled the recruitment of more personal and the purchase of more vehicles.

So that in 1987, it occupied already close to 30 people with a fleet of 30 trucks capable to deserve almost the 40 customers it already possessed

Following the market trends and in order to satisfy customer requirements, the 2 co-associates decided to give their company an international flavour by developing the international lorry.

This last activity became a few months later, in 1990, consolidated in the TD SA entity, managed by Mr. Ph. Destrijker. In this TD entity, you will find, for clear strategical reasons, all the big trailers and trucks.

During 1994, Mr Eric ROUFOSSE, joins the group as third co-associate, and creates a new entity called TSRD SA . It was commonly decided to regroup in this new entity, all the exclusive contracts and the customised trucks (the ones painted in the end customers colours and logos).

In 1998, a new renting company, the BIMOS SA , was created in order to rent all sort of vehicles to the end-users, either with or without driver. The today’s renting fleet consists of about 15 cars and is growing every quarter, thanks to the tremendous success encountered. One can rent Volkswagen Polo, Golf and Bora, Peugeot (406 & 605), Mercedes Vito, light trucks and even trucks

The today’s service offerings of the TDS group, embraces fast delivery of very divers material like Medical equipment, household equipment, office furniture (desks, cabinets…), wood, wine and soft drinks, etc… but also more than 500 libraries are deserved every night, 6 days a week.

Thanks to the new premises, that the group acquired 2 years ago in the industrial zoning of Wauthier-Braine, (a building facility of 1500m² with 250 m² of office facilities), the company can since then perform goods stocking with stock control and management, goods preparation before dispatched to the final destination.

Access and control of the stocked goods, are facilitated, for our Key-Customers thanks to our LAN network with Internet access in a secure environment through the usage of users ID’s with appropriate passwords.

In summary, our work concept relies essentially on the large importance given to customer satisfaction By providing them great flexibility and availability, by offering them an outperforming fleet of vehicles and by showing great respect of just in time deliveries. Actually, we give at our customers disposal, a qualified team of drivers with a large fleet portfolio, 24 hours a day, 6 days a week; all our drivers are carrying GSM phones, enabling them to perform any new given mission or execute any mission changes asap. A conveyor can also, upon request, accompany a driver.

The Group passed successfully all the criteria to gain the ISO 9002 quality label. Those are not just applied internally with our personel, but also externally with our dear customers.

In terms of computer and IT investment, the Group has recently purchased and installed a LAN network, providing every single employee with a high performing PC, an email server and Internet access.
